Can we please press the pause button??

Because John Huston is 17 months old! Time is flying by way too fast! John Huston is always on the go and never slows up until he is down for his nap or bedtime. He is accomplishing many milestones now. John Huston matches lids with the appropriate containers (loves the tupperware drawer!), helps getting dressed by attempting to put his socks and shoes on his feet, raises up arms for shirts and can lift up his feet to put his pants on without being told. He turns pages of a book, loves to play 'hide and seek' and the joy of climbing. New words he can say are bath, ball, bad baby, bye bye, pop, thank you, there; and lots of repetitive jabbering talk! He is getting big way too fast!

Family Fun

So we are finally at that stage where John Huston is so much fun to do family stuff with. I couldn't wait until he got to the age where we could take him to the park, mini trips and have family days. On my week off, I try to plan at least one play date with him with other children and plan at least one family day. He has been to Vacation Bible School one day to one of my friend's church. He had a great time with the singing, seeing other kids and doing a handprint art and craft. We took him to CHOM for the first time and he had a blast! He loved the 'Once Upon a Farm' room and would back and forth across the bridge, drive a tractor, go down the mini slide and play with the eggs in the chicken coup. We can't wait to take him back to the zoo, plan a trip to Tuscaloosa Barnyard and many more fun adventures!
